The following is a link to a list of all the Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering programs both accredited and unaccredited. Interestingly some highly rated universities do not have accredited BME programs. Whether considering accredited or unaccredited programs the prospective student should be aware that not every program prepares the B.S. BME graduate well for a corporate career. The Biomedical Engineering Society through ABET, Inc. accredits BME programs on a periodic basis to determine if they are meeting accreditation requirements. They have recently begun to look at how well these programs meet the career needs of the graduate.
