Take advantage of my research into the job and graduate statistics, industry needs, and curricula in the Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Technology fields. To support this website I offer the following services.
I also, for a fee, make myself available to review a particular biomedical engineering program based on my knowledge of the medical device field and the feedback published on this blog. I can provide you with an analysis of the program and questions I would ask based on my knowledge of university and biomedical assessment criteria required for accreditation.
PLEASE NOTE: These services and products should not and are not meant to be used as your sole or main source for making a decision about a particular program or how to proceed with your particular job hunting campaign. To obtain the full benefit of the information provided it should be reviewed by you and your adviser or school counselor against other published information .
Parents and prospective BME or BMET students:
BME or BMET graduate rates in 2007-8: You get a table with the number of BME or BMET graduates organized by state, university and college in 2007 and 2008. This table offers indirect information on the relative sizes of all the BME or BMET programs reporting their graduation rates in one convenient form. The 2008 statistics will give parents and potential students an idea which programs are growing. A single year to year comparison is not a definitive indicator of growth but if you see a decline in graduates or a small graduating class in a program you are interested in you should ask the reasons for it before you make a decision. A number of these programs have just been created and are small. You may not want to experience the growing pains of a new program. If not properly supported they can be closed leading to a potentially painful close out process with limited availability of courses, etc. Please indicate which table you would like when you place the order.
